How To Create An Amazing Fan Cave

Image result for fan cave

This is all about how to make sure you have a great Fan Cave! Yes, “Fan Cave” Not to be confused with a “Man Cave.”  First, a“Man Cave” could be anything. It could have any theme from Star Wars to Classic Western Cinemas and obviously, that’s not what we are talking about on The Unbiased. What we are talking about, is sports and fandom! Second, “Man Cave” implies that only Men would enjoy an amazing spot to watch their favorite sporting events. Sports are all about bringing people together and, what could be a better way to connect with a special someone than by growing your love of sports together. (Unless their favorite team is better than yours, there could be love lost if he or she is a trash-talker.)

In this video, you will see how the MLB has created an awesome fan cave with all of the elements necessary for any fan cave to be amazing.

T.V.

The absolute, number ONE thing you will need is the right Television.  I am not saying spend all of your Fan Cave budget on this item but, it is the most important item so, go big or go home. To ensure you get the most out of your Fan Cave TV, make sure it is the focal point from all angles of your seating arrangements. This will help the acoustics for hearing all the sounds of the game for who enter the Fan Cave.

Couch and Recliner

The Second necessity for creating your ultimate Fan Cave is to make sure seating arrangements are in order. Obviously, this will be different for a single person looking to enjoy a game alone compared to a family with four 3-sport athletes in the house. Ultimately you just need to make sure everyone has a spot where they can get comfortable enough to stay there through the second overtime.

Your Team Gear

No matter what, you need to make sure that all who enter your Fan Cave, know who which team’s territory they are in. There is nothing worse than having to kick someone out of your home for disrespecting a hero like John Stockton in your home. By using the right décor, you can make sure they know right away not to make any dumb remarks about your team’s legends.

Snacks and Drinks

Food is key! Snickers got was right when they said, “You’re not you when you’re hungry.” The best way to enjoy life is on a full tank. I promise you will see fewer objects thrown into walls because of bad calls if you keep your Fan Cave well stocked. I recommend at least a six pack of your favorite beverage kept cool in a mini-fridge as well as all the ingredients you need for the ultimate microwave nachos.

Games

It is always a good idea to have some games. They are perfect for those times when you need to blow off some steam because some ref (who is clearly working their first day on the job) blows your teams chance at a big win. I recommend Ping Pong or Foosball. You can really release some rage in those games.

Share Pictures of your Fan Cave in the comments section for a chance to be featured in an upcoming post as well as attend a Utah Jazz Game with me on Jan. 17 2019 against the Chicago Bulls.
